You can’t eat awards, but they do give an indication of what to expect. And ours is one of the most awarded restaurants in Western Australia’s most heavily awarded region. Apart from the 2008 award, they include WA Tourism Winery of the Year 2007, Gold Plate Best Restaurant Within a Winery, 2003 and 2007 and Best Licensed Dining, Country, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 (Prix D’Honneur in 2007). It’s partly the focus on fresh local and seasonal produce, partly the award winning chef, kitchen and restaurant team, but it’s also the setting. The climate and landscape that make this a great vineyard also create the perfect setting in which to enjoy our food and, above all, our wine.
High timber ceilings, a double sided fireplace built from local stone and indoor and outdoor spaces that can cater for anything from a private function for 15 people up to gala event for 250. There’s even a chapel (no surprises there, since we approach our winemaking with an almost religious fervour).
So, weddings, parties or just a simple, but memorable lunch for two.
