2009 Xanadu Stevens Road Chardonnay

A tiny production of 50 dozen from a vineyard on Stevens Road. It's a better wine than the more expensive Reserve for my tastes, though it's quite different. Full praise to Xanadu for bottling little bits of vineyards for us to try; it's important. Racy, vibrant and fine boned with flavours of lemon, grapefruit and white peach dusted with fine spicy oak. Love that tangy fresh acidity and the crisp bright finish. It's a greyhound of a wine, reflecting its cooler vineyard source. Dishlickers? My glass didn't last too long in the bowl I can tell you.
