Ray Jordan’s West Australian Wine Guide 2017 is out and the entire Xanadu team are excited to share the results.

2015 Xanadu Chardonnay | 93 points | Releasing soon..
This is stunning for a quality chardonnay selling for less than $40. Stone fruit with hints of almonds and cashew with that leesy nougat character. Has such a bright and taut crunchy acidity bringing a little minerality into the palate. Finishes with a slightly juicy feel in the month.

2014 Xanadu Reserve Chardonnay | 96 points | Available now
This is the best barrel selection from the oldest chardonnay vineyard on the property. All natural fermentation with regular lees stirring and no malolactic fermentation. Tight and focused with a juicy minerally palate. It’s crunchy and complex with such a precise focus through to the finish. Palate is deceptively rich and concentrated. A wine of great sophistication.

2013 Xanadu Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon | 97 points | Sold Out
The fruit for this impressive cabernet was sourced from two northern Margaret River vineyards – one at Treeton and the other at Wilyabrup. Intense essence of cabernet on the nnose with slightly black olive and blackcurrant notes augmented with a gentle coolish mint character. Fine angular tannins and fine grained oak have been well merged into a tightly structured, deeply concentrated palate.

2014 Xanadu Stevens Road Malbec | 94 points | Not yet released
This comes from a small patch on this vineyard. Delighted that winemaker Glenn Goodall chose to make a straight varietal with such beautiful fruit. Yes, it could have been pretty handy in the cabernets but it’s such an attractive single varietal. A mix of floral, dark chocolate and red berry characters are most appealing. Some dryishtannins and a little dusty oak complete the package.

2013 Xanadu Stevens Road Cabernet Sauvignon | 96 points | Available Now
A small production single vineyard wine that reflects both this southern Margaret River region and the vineyard characteristics. Aromas of subtle cool mint and dark chocolate and blackcurrant richness with a thread of cedary and slightly savoury oak. An elegantly structured and most refined cabernet with plenty of palate power. There is deep generosity in here that offers so much on the palate.
